Describe your work’s purpose and how you contribute to the company’s mission of Winning With IT.

A network consultant goes beyond the technology by being an extension to a client’s organization. We become the client’s strategic partner by providing agnostic solutions and proactive management, and in return, help Dataprise’s mission of Winning with IT.

In what ways do you find fulfillment in the work that you do at Dataprise?

Being a vital resource for both my clients and company helps me appreciate the importance of my role here at Dataprise.

I’m onsite working directly with my clients to address their IT needs. During my visits, I integrate myself into my client’s environment to help solve end user issues, provide proactive network support/maintenance, and deliver vendor agnostic solutions that best fits the clients’ needs.

Tell us about the most challenging engineering or technical project that you have been involved with during the past year. What did you learn from it?

I have a client whose internal IT department had a hard time keeping up with the incoming workload. The client had multiple users onboarding/offboarding weekly and updating the users took the internal IT department almost a full working day to complete. After working together with the team of Network Consultants, we were able to develop and deploy a script to help streamline the process for the client. This dramatically cut the time for user account creations and allowed for more time to allocate to focusing on upcoming projects and solutions. As a result of this project, I learned what it meant to be a strategic partner for my clients.

What made you decide to move into a technical role for your career?

Technology was one of my major hobbies growing up. The idea that high demand for technical talent would sustain unlimited opportunities made it an obvious career choice for me. The challenge of solving problems that can range in levels of complexity is what keeps me interested in growing in this field. Training is much more accessible in this industry which makes it comparatively easy to grow and adapt in my career.

What made you decide to move into a technical role for your career?

I always enjoyed learning the complexity and differences of IT environments, so moving to a technical role seemed natural direction for me.

Tell us about the most challenging engineering or technical project that you have been involved with during the past year. What did you learn from it?

The migration of a large group of clients from an internally hosted solution. The unique challenge was finding alternatives for each hosted client that fit their unique needs which included planning and implementing each migration separately.
